Have you Ever Heard of Freezing a Battery?

I had a customer today that told me you can take an old battery from a cell phone and put it in the freezer for 24 hours then thaw it out for 24 hours and it kills the dead cells in the battery and recharges the good cells.

This is new to me but worth a try....
